Diploma (600 Hours) 28 Weeks 

The Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) program is designed to prepare students for employment as a cross-trained clinician expanding the traditional role of office/operations manager. The CMAA will be trained in Office Management, Billing, Healthcare Administration, Phlebotomy, EKG while also learning the skills to challenge the FL Certified Nursing Exam.  The program offers a sequence of courses that provide the flexibility to adapt to many different healthcare environments while delivering coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge.  Graduates attain the skills needed to be prepare for a career in clinical/healthcare operations and the fundamentals to continue their academic success at the next level.

Medical Administrative Assistant Training With Pasco Medical Training

Our Medical Administrative Assistant training program includes specialized training and certification opportunities as a:

  • NHA-Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • NHA-Certified EKG Technician (CET)
  • NHA-Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)

Our medical administrative assistant program is specifically structured to be completed in Seven (7), four-week modules (28 weeks), including Office Management/Billing, anatomy and physiology, basic phlebotomy techniques, basic electrocardiographic techniques, introduction to health services administration and clinical experience. These modules are scheduled over the length of 28 weeks or seven months. Patient care tech students will complete approximately 600 credit hours prior to obtaining a diploma.

Admission Documentation

  • 18 Years of Age.
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.

Clinical Documentation

  • Basic Physical Exam, Including Negative TB Skin Test or Negative X-Ray.
  • State DOH Fingerprinting (Level II Background)
