Florida Certified Nursing Assistant Exam Preparation (CNA) –At Pasco Medical Training, we have developed a proven exam prep course providing affordable training that will prepare our students to navigate the FLorida CNA Exam. We are an approved Prometric testing center, our students have the advantage of training and taking the state exam in the same room.
American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED –As a Training Center through Pasco-Hernando State College, we offer BLS/AED training using the nation’s leading CPR guidelines from the American Heart Association. Our CPR course, which is good for two years, will teach you everything you need to confidently perform CPR in the field.
Phlebotomy Technician NHA Exam-Preparation Course (CPT) – Pasco Medical Training offers an innovative NHA Phlebotomy Exam Prep training course to prepare healthcare workers to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam. This course includes medical terminology, live sticks, order of draw, and Phlebotomy fundamentals.
Patient Care Technician/Assistant(CPCT/A)Diploma – Pasco Medical Training offers an accelerated track to your CPCT/A at 16 weeks (360hrs) and the full program at 28 weeks (600hrs) improving your marketability as a multifaceted healthcare professional while also obtaining the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET).
Medical Administrative Assistant(CMAA)Diploma – Pasco Medical Training offers a Medical Assistant program with hands on training to be equally proficient in the back office and the front office of any medical environment. Our program is 28 weeks (600hrs) including a clinical component. Improving your marketability as a multifaceted healthcare professional with opportunities to obtain additional certifications through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) and NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET).
Classes within our Diploma Programs can be taken individually as long as admission and pre-requisite requirements are met:
HCA 101-Introduction to Health Services Administration -This course provides an introduction to the principles of health services administration. Emphasis is placed on health policy, planning, marketing, current health problems, health care services, bioethical decisions and personnel.
HCA 200-Office Administration for Medical Assistants – course includes instruction in medical office procedures, record keeping, appointment scheduling, telephone skills, medical financial record management, patient billing, and coding procedures for insurance reimbursement.
HCA 200L-Office Administration for Medical Assistants Laboratory – is designed to offer a simulated clinical environment using popular billing and chart management software currently utilized in the industry.
BIO 105-Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology – The study of the human body from the single cell to the coordinated whole, with emphasis on the interaction of all body systems in the maintenance of a stable internal state. The course includes: biological and chemical foundations; cellular structure and dynamics; tissues; organ systems, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, lymphatic, endocrine, reproductive, urinary systems and nervous systems.
HCP 210-Basic Phlebotomy Techniques – is designed to provide practical knowledge of the responsibilities and work practices for a Phlebotomy Technician (PT) providing the knowledge necessary for successful completion of a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) NHA certification examination.
HCP 210L-Phlebotomy Technician Laboratory – is designed to provide practical laboratory support for concepts covered in HCP 210 Phlebotomy Technician Theory.
HCP 230-Basic Electrocardiographic Techniques – This course is designed to prepare the students to sit for the EKG Technician national credentialing exam. The course reviews cardiac anatomy and physiology, covers the use and maintenance of Electrocardiography equipment, electrophysiology and the conduction system, axis determination, identification of normal and abnormal waveforms and rhythms, patterns of infarction and various conduction abnormalities. It also covers ambulatory monitoring, stress testing and telemetry in preparation to take the NHA Certified EKG Technician certification exam.
HCP 230L-Basic Electrocardiographic Techniques Laboratory – This course offers hands-on use and maintenance of Electrocardiography equipment. It covers EKG acquisition technique, recognition of artifacts, identification of normal and abnormal rhythms and patterns, and basic calculations derived from EKG tracings.
