Patient Care Assistant – CPCT/A (Diploma 360hrs)

The Patient Care Assistant program is designed for active CNA’s to become cross-trained expanding the traditional role of nursing assistant. We will provide hands-on training enhancing current Certified Nursing Assistant’s credentialing to improve marketability and expand opportunities. Graduates attain the skills needed to prepare for a career in the healthcare profession and the fundamentals to continue their academic success at the next level.

Pasco Medical Training will provide theory, didactic and hands-on training preparing students for entry-level positions as, Patient Care Technician/Assistant(CPCT-A),  Nursing Assistant, Medical Receptionist, EKG Technician (CET), Monitor Tech, Unit Secretary, Medical Office Manager, Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), Lab Technician, Donor Services Technician, Phlebotomist.  Prepare to sit for the NHA National Certification Exam for Patient Care Assistant (CPCT/A).

Patient Care Assistant Training With Pasco Medical Training

Our patient care assistant Diploma program includes training and certification opportunities in the following:

  • NHA-Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • NHA-Certified EKG Technician (CET)
  • NHA-Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)

Our patient care assistant program is specifically structured for active CNA’s to be completed in (4), four-week modules (16 weeks), including patient care, anatomy and physiology, basic phlebotomy techniques, basic electrocardiographic techniques, introduction to health services administration. These modules are scheduled over the length of 16 weeks or four months. Patient Care Asst students will complete approximately 360 credit hours prior to obtaining a diploma.

Admission Documentation

  • Active FL CNA License
  • 18 Years of Age.
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Basic Physical Exam, Including Negative TB Skin Test or Negative X-Ray.
  • State DOH Fingerprinting (Level II Background)
